Hello and welcome to our lovely rules. I know you’ve probably read the same ones over a thousand times now, but it has to be done. Please read carefully, there is something you need to include in your audition that will show us that you’ve read the rules. Thank you!

ONE: We are a CANON Black Dagger Brotherhood roleplay group, meaning we follow the books. No that doesn’t mean you have to just roleplay scenarios in the book, no you don’t have to write word for word from the book, it simply means that love interests, personalities, back stories and anything else is consistent with those in J.R. Ward’s novels. Please keep that in mind.

TWO: We have a slightly accelerated storyline. This means that a lot of our writing occurs above and beyond what Ward has written, meaning after the events of Lover Reborn. This entails that certain characters are more advanced than others. For example, from spoilers Ward has released herself, we know Rhage and Mary have a child. We have created Mahkayla from this information, so their storyline is set more in the future.

THREE: We are a multi-para and up roleplay group. Paragraphs should be lengthy and full of detail. Multi-para is three or more full, lengthy paragraphs. There are 8 sentences in a paragraph  No oneliners will be accepted. We want devoted roleplayers, so take your time, but don’t take months to reply. That won’t cut it either.

FOUR: You must have proper grammar and spelling. Occasional typos are okay! Everyone makes mistakes. Please use spell check. Re-reading your comment before sending always helps.

FIVE: Roleplay drama, meaning drama inside of a roleplay scenario is perfectly fine, it makes things interesting. However ANY drama outside of that is not by any means acceptable. We all want to remain friends once the day is over, and we don’t want anyone leaving because of drama. You will be removed immediately from the group if you are associated with any drama and for not heeding the moderators. If you have an issues with anyone in the group, message the RPG page or contact a moderator immediately and we will work out a solution.

SIX: This is a MATURE group, obviously. The books deal with very mature concepts, such as language, sexual actions, and consumption of drugs and alcohol. We assume if you have read the novels you are mature enough to handle these concepts. You must be mature to be in this group. Consider the legal age of consent in your country of origin for an appropriate age to be in this group.

SEVEN: Members automatically become your ‘mains’ if you accept a role in this roleplay group.  No exceptions. You must add them. Your love interests will also come with the group. If you’ve read this far, please leave your favorite character from the BDB series when you are prompted on the audition form. Please explain why they are your favorite. Please no “He/she is just awesome.” This is just so that we know you’ve read, and we are just curious.

EIGHT: You will need to be on at least FOUR times a week. If you need to take a hiatus or a break spanning longer than a week, let us know. If you don’t, we will assume you have abandoned the role and we will replace you. If you no longer want the role, please message us and let us know. Simple as that. Please aim for doing replies fairly often. Don’t wait months to finally reply to someone. If we have to set a time limit for replies, we will. We assume everyone is capable of gauging how often they should reply.

NINE: Members needs to have links to the RPG and each of the members on their page. You may create this code yourself or one will be provided. Please keep it updated. Help will be provided if asked!

TEN: Please be as neat as possible with pictures and your profile. You don’t have to be a whiz at editing to be neat. If you need help with profile, pictures, or codes of any kind, send us a comment! We will do our best. It might take us a few days, but we will try to get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

ELEVEN: We have picked specific playbys for a reason. They are SEMI-NEGOTIABLE. Please do not change your playby once it is OFFICIALLY decided. If there is a major issue, come to us. We will work something out. If you have a great idea, that’s better than the one we have picked, tell us! We will consider it. Keep in mind, you are here to roleplay and the playby isn’t the most important thing in the world. 

TWELVE: Members must not have anything extra in their display names. A creative display or the character’s full name is fine, but any sort of marital status or other thing is not allowed. Be appropriate and accurate to your characters persona. Keep in mind the way specific characters, especially Vampires, are named in this series. They DO NOT have last names.

THIRTEEN: Originals will be created by the moderators of the group and current members, with the help of those who are interested. Any other originals will not be accepted. If you have an idea that you would like to see, send us a comment/ask, we would love to hear it and try to include it in our storyline.

FOURTEEN: Our favorite rule! Have fun. That’s what roleplay is all about, and that’s our mission. If you have any ideas, Let us know! We’ll see what we can do to make it happen. We want this group to be a family. We suggest everyone get an AIM screen name, so we can keep in touch better. Just have fun and enjoy yourself!
